Explore the Artistic Soul of South Atlanta at the Open Studio Art Tour

Atlanta, GA – April 12, 2025 – Get ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant creative pulse of South Atlanta at the highly anticipated SOUTH of CENTER- ARTS EXPERIENCE, taking place on Saturday, April 26th & 27th, 2025. This exciting Open Studio Art Tour invites art lovers to explore the dynamic artistic spaces in the heart of the West End, East Point, Hapeville, and Chattahoochee Hills. With free admission and an array of immersive events, this tour will showcase a diverse collection of studios, galleries, museums, and workshops. It’s a rare opportunity to step inside the places where South Atlanta’s artists live, work, and create.
A Weekend of Discovery and Inspiration
Saturday, April 26th, visitors will be able to tour the studios from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Then, on Sunday, April 27th, the festivities continue with live artist talks, engaging demonstrations, and a grand finale music jam in East Point from 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM. This special event offers a chance to connect with local artists, learn about their creative processes, and experience the energy of South Atlanta's thriving artistic community.

Event Highlights
This event will feature some of South Atlanta’s most distinguished art spaces, such as:
Atlanta Printmakers Studio (Hapeville): Since 2005, this vital hub for printmaking showcases a range of processes, from screen printing to letterpress. Live demonstrations will allow visitors to explore the world of printmaking firsthand.
The B Complex (Capitol View): A cooperative artist community housed in historic factory buildings, offering creative studio spaces for over 30 artists.
Corrina Sephora Studio: Renowned multimedia artist Corrina Sephora combines ancient metalworking techniques with modern concepts, creating sculptures and paintings that explore the unknown & hosts welding, blacksmithing & Metalworking workshops.
Black Art in America: This platform celebrates and preserves African American artistic expression, showcasing works that reflect the diverse narratives of the African American experience.
ADAMA MUSEUM: Featuring both historic and contemporary African diasporic art, ADAMA Museum highlights global Black artistic voices and their contributions to culture.
Goat Farm Satellites: A multi-disciplinary Cultural Center in West Midtown Atlanta with multiple satellite studio locations, Goat Farm's goal is to explore a more responsible approach to development and the use of property to support art and culture via a self-sustaining built environment. Goat Farm executes this mission through an unconventional social enterprise for-profit arts model.
Day and Night Projects: Day and Night Projects is a cutting-edge gallery and creative space that promotes collaboration across art forms. It hosts exhibitions, workshops, and performances, showcasing innovative art that blurs the lines between day and night.
ArtsXChange: Arts X Change is an innovative space in South Atlanta dedicated to artistic collaboration, education, and community engagement. It fosters creative exchange and positive social change, supports diverse artistic practices, and empowers marginalized communities through art for social change.
Curtis Patterson is an Atlanta-based sculptor whose monumental steel works fuse African iconography with contemporary form, creating spaces for public reflection and cultural memory. A pioneer in public art, his contributions continue to shape the visual and social landscape of cities across the U.S. Patterson’s practice engages themes of heritage, improvisation, and community, and in 2024 he was honored with the Larry D. and Brenda A. Thompson Award for his lasting impact on Georgia’s cultural landscape.
Krista M. Jones Studio (JONESY): Known for vibrant murals and intricate canvas works, JONESY’s art explores themes of freedom, life cycles, and the complexities of the human experience. Visitors will be invited to experience her dreamlike paintings and engage with her thought-provoking works in her intimate studio setting.
Other renowned spaces like Push Push Arts, Tennessee Gallery, The End Project Space, Murphy Rail Studios, Rachael Garceau, Shanequa Gay and more, and will also open their doors along with so many more spaces, inviting visitors to experience an eclectic range of art forms, including painting, sculpture, photography, and performance art.
About the South of Center Arts Experience
The South of Center Arts Experience is a new and evolving annual event designed to shine a light on South Atlanta’s flourishing arts scene. The tour spans multiple neighborhoods and highlights the diversity and creativity that make this part of Atlanta so unique. From vibrant murals to thought-provoking sculptures, the event offers an up-close look at the artists' creative spaces and the works they produce.
This inaugural event is just the beginning, with plans to expand the tour in the future, bringing even more artists and locations into the fold.
