Art Documentary Goes Public! JONESY: beyond the mural

A documentary short film by SCAD student, Maria Gonzalez that follows artist Krista M. Jones (aka JONESY) during the creation of PASSERINE, a 1500 sq. ft. mural in East Atlanta. This mural was commissioned by the Atlanta Beltine, Inc. for Art on the Beltline Walls 5. The artist shares some of her journey and discusses aspects of both her studio and public art practice. Filmed in Krista's home studio and at the mural site while Krista and her wife, Corinna painted. During production on March 7, 2023, Krista's mother died after a long battle with a rare neurodegenerative disease called Corticobasal degeneration (CBD). This film is a tribute to her memory.
